Choko bar is a small local bar opposite the famous Ichibankan Karatsu pottery shop. Many different kinds of choko (traditional small cups for drinking sake) can be found here, and local sakes and delicious appetizers, using Karatsu ingredients, can be tried. We have two courses: the “Local Sake Course” for anyone who would like to compare different local sakes, and the “Karatsu-ware Course” for people who would like to learn about Karatsu pottery as well as our local sakes. Please choose your favourite one.

Komatsuya’s owner Miki-san has an extensive knowledge of leather craft and makes various items for the shop.
